I was very pleased and surprised to find evidence in my garden today that 3 out of 3 ferns planted last year decided to return to me. Such is the joy of spring!

Speaking of spring, the carnival rides have arrived, as well as junk food wagons. The tulips are blooming and the city is being scrubbed from stem to stern. Although Klompen Dancing begins May 3, the true kick-off in my mind is the Fireworks Display Friday, May 5. For me, from that moment, it's Tulip Time in Holland through Saturday, May 13. My wedding anniversary, by the way. And a BIG one at that. Reminds me of my honeymoon weekend. We slept in a tent at the Saugatuck KOA. As we were living in Fort Wayne at the time, we came home to Holland for a family visit and Tulip Time. Pathetic, aren't we?
